Hi all,
May I suggest to have a change on the Dutch part of the Numista website?
As it is there's kinda mayor error at the "Grade section" or “Conservation section” if you want.
There seem to be differences around the world when grading a coin.
In Dutch we name an UNC coin as FDC!
Now we have on the English website this same coin (FDC) graded as Extremely Fine where this supposed to be UNC!
I will add 2 screenshots from 2 recent Belgian catalogs, the grading terms have always been this way…
1. MORIN 2019 Catalog > https://en.numista.com/literature/volume_group.php?id=530
2. CBNU 2022 Catalog > https://en.numista.com/literature/volume.php?id=190
As you can see on both catalogs:
> FDC IS THE DUTCH TRANSLATION FOR THE ENGLISH UNC <
Would it be possible to have this mayor error corrected?
Because now I mostly add in the “Public Comments section that the coin is FDC” while it is graded as "UNC in the Grading Section".
It's so terribly confusing and Incorrect… 🤔
I was thinking to delete the FDC Comments but having 666 items graded as UNC/FDC for Swap together with 6144 items Not for Swap…
It would take me way too much time and clicks to have this changed manually, an all-in website correction would not only spare me all this time, it's also the only right thing to do.
Or am I completely mistaken or seeiing things wrong here?
Ps. I always use the English version of the Numista website…
Looking forward to read some smart replies… 😁
Cheers,
doc.
