Hi, can anyone pull any more info off this coin 22mm wide 1.2 mm thickness. I can read part COR on the front and just make out BRITAN on obverse of coin and a faint date 17? Thanks again.

Second picture was not enlarge-able ['miniatures' in link]

Can not see any COR but maybe C OR which would be G OR for

GEORGIUS lettering, with yes BRITAN-NIA on reverse.

Not sure about portrait, so may be an ‘Evasion’ coin.

Thanks for all the replies and how interesting subject regarding evasion coins. Will look into this further.

Looking at obverse again, may not be C OR lettering

but C OL for CAROLVS instead.

 Example [22.5mm] - N#12907

The curved shape below the portrait looks similar as well.

Except - if you see 17?? numbers then this is 1672-1679 years.

Hi and thanks, yes found hear a farthing I do believe N#12907

Looks alright, so not an evasion coin, as was

comparing the [Charles] portrait with George coins.

Just had a look at the date again but very faint and looks like 1679, the 6 & 9 is more prominent than the other remaining date numbers.
