The 5 Córdobas 60th. Anniversary of Central Bank of Nicaragua note looks to have the wrong year given in the catalog for the note date. Catalog lists the date as Oct 23, 2020, but the date given on the note is Oct 23, 2019. Date is hard to see but its given in the bottom right corner of the note as 2019 . Can this note date get updated?

Thanks,

Hi, this is in the comments:

This note is to commemorate 60th. Anniversary of BCN, founded on 1960; the date showing on obverse is the one of the resolution to create this note, not the date of issuance, note was issued on September 30th., 2020.

So it seems 2019 is not the issue date, it is 2020.

odd job

So it seems 2019 is not the issue date, it is 2020.

Hello!
The date printed on the letter is actually 2019. To adjust this, we've added (2020) next to the date as the year of issue.
Thank you!

The year of issue is relatively irrelevant especially as we have a dedicated field for it now. The year lines were intended for the time of creation but even the date (non frozen) on coins has often little to do with the actual manufacturing year and can be off by multiple years (for modern issues). For banknotes we seem to often use law dates which at least correlate (but not always) with the initial printrun.
