Not sure if this is N# 79931. The look is similar, but the size is wrong.

Weight: 0.96g

Diameter: 20.56mm

Thickness: 0.44mm

The other coin is listed as gold but this one looks more silvery, most of the script reads correctly but the upper photo with 3 cartouches has scrambled lettering of the words Ghazi and Khan which makes it likely to be a jewelers copy for ornament

It is gold in color. The picture would not get the coloring right. Is it a mis-cast or a fake? I am fairly certain it is gold.

Not cast, these are probably struck with a screw/fly press from a pair of dies, Jewelers copies can be made from gold, they are sewn on clothing to show wealth, hence often found with a hole. They can also be made from cheaper metals and gilded to appear gold.

I will add that another clue is that the 3 cartouches contain :-- Mahmud- Khan- Ghazi and on the above specimen are deliberately made unreadable as such so that the Jeweler cannot be arrested as a counterfeiter which would lead to severe punishment.

That makes sense. The hole in it seemed perfect, as if put there rather than worn.
