There are French Indian sub-issuers, such as:

1. Mahé

2. Pondichéry

3. Karaikal

4. Yanam

5. Arcot

6. Surat

Where is Chandernagor?

The Governer of Chandernagar, Mr Dupleix, obtained coining rights in 1738 and struck rupees, halves and quarters dated 1151/21 and 1152/22 and as already mentioned in N#45666, the fact that the coin is placed under “Arcot” can be quite misleading, as it was not minted in Arcot, but actually was minted in Chandernagor.

Indeed, we have the other parts of French India set up as sub-issuers, but not Chandernagor.

Looking on acsearch, I see only this coin attributed to that place.  Is that correct?

We can set up the sub-issuer for just 1 coin for purposes of accuracy.

@sujit_kumar  what do you think?

It is upto the admins to decide how to record this. But i agree that it does not fall into any of the sub-issuers.
