Identification of some worn presumably British coins. [solved]

Greetings Numista community.

My first post on this site, I've got to say I've used this site for a while and never registered so it feels good to be a part of it now. I'd like to harness the power of this collective community of like minded coin enthusiasts. And ask for help in identifying these somewhat worn coins. Il. Provided as much Info as possible. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Nicolas.

1st coin

Diameter: approx 28mm

Weight:7.57 (factor the worn state)

Thoughts: Thinking got to be British with what seems like a brittania on the reverse, however no date visible and the I don't recognise the portrait bust on the obverse.

2nd coin.

Diameter: approx 25mm

Weight: 6.62g again worn state.

Thoughts: again British more obvious britannia, however the date and obverse portrait seem to stump me (unless I'm reading it wrong) but it seems 1716 date and the George something portrait. Can't find any 1716 examples like this.

  Hello Nicn98

Welcome to Numista. To me the first one likes like a Candian coin, token. Iam no expert. Good luck and happy coin hunting.

It is, what it is, or is it.

As soon as I saw the 1st coin the name Brutus came to mind -

as I own one also, and indeed it looks like this >

N#66464 [29mm]

 For comparison

There is still also part of the S letter behind the portrait.

The other coin, without yet searching for it, looks more like 1714 date …

For the 2nd coin the closest so far is >

N#13081

with the lettering positions and coin size. Date only

1717 1718 1719 so not sure …

That is splendid, thank you so much for the replies and information, I don't know much about these emergency merchant tokens very interesting. A nice piece of history I'm glad to have it👍 the other one is there too you look to have hit the nail on the head but the date is still illegible I guess. It certainly looks like 1716 or 1714 but looks like those dates aren't feasible for that issue. Thanks again for your help. You Legend
