Xi Asian games Beijing

Hi,

I found this token / medal with XI Asian Games written in it and can't find any information about it anywere. It's around 6cm in diameter and it comes with an old looking box (not sure if this was added afterwards or if it's original).

Does anyone know anything about it?

1990 Asian Games

The Directorate General of Telecoms were involved in the organisation hence them being on the token, they were subsequently abolished in 1998.

There were quite a few variation done as souvenirs 

e.g. this one with the same “official” panda mascot

This one obviously not your coin but does show the same panda

Only reason I found out that information was because when I acquired an item and had to research it all sorts of stuff appeared and I kept links for future reading and in case I acquired anything else from there. My item was from 2022 Beijing Olympics Medallion - 2022 Winter Olympic Games (Beijing) - People's Republic of China – Numista 

Thank you for the information. I saw the similar coins in numista before posting, but they're quite different in terms of diameter and motives. I'm also trying to figure out if mine is the representation of a particular sport.

  They're similar, but still not the same. The box looks similar too. Should these be added to the Numista catalog?
