Coins photography equipment

Dear fellow collectors,

While browsing the internet in search of inspiration for photographing coins, I came across this website:

Since I’m not an expert in photography, I’d like to ask those with experience: is this setup really effective?
The device is quite expensive (at least for me), and shipping from the United States to Ukraine is complicated. At the same time, I wonder if it would be possible to build something similar myself — maybe a simpler version, but still keeping the essential design features.

What do you think about this?

One more question: if people suggest using a smartphone for photos, would it make sense to upgrade the device by adding something like a Raspberry Pi with a camera module? That way it could become a fully self-contained unit.

Wishing everyone peace and kindness!

Hello and thank you for the link

First remark: the coin is not laid flat, it is raised.

Thanks for the link. I have read and analyzed a lot of material on coin photography. Currently I use the method https://artemis-collection.com/photography/coin-photography-on-a-budget/ But I would like to have a device that solves the issue of photographing in a complex.
I found another interesting device... But unfortunately the author does not answer the question.
