I use to live for a long time in Ghana. I met a lot of people who sold or gave me (old) coins, but in my experience not many Ghanians are intrested in collecting coins. There was one man who did collect coins and he had a very nice display made for them. Also in the National Museum in Accra you can see a collection of coins, related to Ghana history. On the so called ‘Art Markets’ you also may find some, but usually in unpleasant condition. Hopefully this information will help you, feel free to contact me.
That's interesting, my parents came to Ghana in the 1960s. I'm yet to meet a collector here, and the few I met in the ‘art markets’ have some in a not so good condition like you said. Thanks for the input.
