Introduction: The Arabshahid or Ilbarsid Dynasty was the first ruling dynasty of the Khanate of Khiva. The Arabshahids were a branch of the Uzbek Shaybanid Dynasty that ruled the Khanate of Bukhara, though these two branches of the family governed as separate entities and came into conflict with each other in many instances. The Arabshahids were replaced with the Tore Dynasty as the ruling power of the Khiva Khanate in 1741.

Within Central Asian numismatics, Arabshahid coins are not traditionally referred to as coins of the Khanate of Khiva, and sources like SARC and Zeno differentiate the two. This mirrors how the Khanate of Bukhara is organized within Numista, with the Shaybanid and Janid Dynasties being independent issuers.
