Contemporary Counterfeit George V Florin

Hi folks,

Came across a George V florin that appears to be a contemporary counterfeit. It weighs about 9g.

Numista lists it's rarety at 97/100. I was going to bin it but do people collect this sort of thing.

Many thanks in advance,

Derek

A high NRI, especially for exonumia, can also mean that nobody cares to collect or enter them into their collection.

I catch your drift 👍

There is a site in Facebook - "Contemporary Circulating Counterfeits - The Good Ones " that can answer all your questions on CCCs from 1500 - present. Not so much with Ancients.

Brill, thanks John
