bonjour et bienvenue à toi !
préciser le poids exact
Le lien ne fonctionne pas
Là c'est du genre compliqué :
- abbassides
- samanides
- ou omeyyades
Je penche pour une omeyyade mais pas vraiment spécialiste :)
Ce qui peut vous guider, c'est l'étoile en haut du revers, mais bon l'étoile de qui ? pas du berger :)
Merci
Hi, Umayyad Caliphate
Maybe this coin
Dirham
AH 93
bonjour
chercher là

Hi, Umayyad Caliphate
Maybe this coin
Dirham
AH 93
Mint: WASIT
Very close ! but the top right lettering on obverse is different, may be another year or ruler than al-Walid I (b. ‘Abd al-Malik), 86-96 / 705-715 ?
Link year 92/711

Just need to find the correct year :)
For year 97 (Sulayman (b. ‘Abd al-Malik), 96-99 / 715-717)
بسم الله ضرب هذا الدرهم بواسط سنة سبع و تسعين
I really don't see where the mint ب is written …
I think it's the one from my link, the one with the star for Wasit is rare, I only found one other, but slightly different ( the crescent and AH 95), on Zeno I found nothing!
In my link:
"Umayyad dirhams bearing an eight-pointed star above the reverse field are generally believed to have been struck at an uncertain mint in North Africa, even though they the mint-name 'Wasit.' Klat records a single specimen of this variety"
I didn't find where wasit was it, so Zeno is interesting to confirm (for someone who is not used to it) it's written at the bottom.

Then the date looks more like 92 than 93

I think we may conclude and change the title of this topic:
AR Dirham al-Walid I, AH92, Wasit, uncertain mint north africa (star on reverse)
We may add a comment to this page
Umayyad dirhams bearing an eight-pointed star above the reverse field are generally believed to have been struck at an uncertain mint in North Africa, even though they the mint-name 'Wasit.' (Source)
Rmk: It seems to me that the title "Al-Walid I" of the page is incorrect because there are lines from AH83 to AH132!
From Stephen Album, Checklist of Islamic Coins, 3rd ed. page 42 :
al-Walid I bin ‘Abd al-Malik, 86-96
Sulayman bin ‘Abd al-Malik, 96-99
‘Umar bin ‘Abd al-‘Aziz, 99-101

Hisham bin ‘Abd al-Malik, 105-125
al-Walid II bin Yazid II, 125-126
Yazid III bin al-Walid I, 126
Ibrahim bin al-Walid I, 126-127
Marwan II bin Muhammad bin Marwan I, 127-132
