Lucania, Thourioi. AE 12; Lucania, Thourioi; 435-410/5 BC, AE 12, 2.36g. SNG ANS-1176-1179 (no ?), HN Italy-1904 var. (same). Obv: Helmeted head of Athena right, helmet decorated with olive branch. Rx: Bull butting right; Δ below; in exergue, fish right. Ex CNG 73, September 2006, lot 35.Wonderful green patina. Good EF

Bonjour,

Je pense à un bronze au taureau cornupète de Marseille, un bronze moyen (ou petit bronze lourd selon les auteurs) vu le poids.

Hi, above the bull I think it' write ΘΟΥΡΙΩΝ, for Lucania Thourioi, but it needs checking, it's not easy to see in a photo…

There are different types of this coin, identical obverse and reverse, but very different weights from 2g to 30g. I'd go with the BMC 135, but I also found this one with a lighter weight, 2.36g, with less metal.

Given the beginning of the legend above the bull, it's Lucania Thourioi; we'd need to find one that weighs almost the same.
