Mintage Date for Restrikes of 1906 French "Restoration of San Francisco" Medal

Hi everyone --

I recently purchased a bronze dore restrike of a 1906 San Francisco Earthquake ("Restoration of San Francisco") Medal issued by Monnaie de Paris.

The certificate that came with the original packaging states that the mintage of the bronze dore strikes was to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 1906 earthquake, suggesting that the mintage of these pieces occurred in ~2006.

However, I found an auction for a related silver dore restrike with a PCGS slab dated 1997 -- auction linked here -- suggesting that perhaps the bronze was also minted around that time. Separately, I found an article/press release referencing the sale of these restrikes, which has a.publication date in 2008 -- see here.

So, this is all to say that I really am not sure when these medals were struck, though I would like to know.  Anyone have any info or ability to point me in the direction of a reference that I might be able to use to find out?

Both links are the same.

Doh!
