Unknown Bank Note Query

9 posts • viewed 110 times

New here , I found some old Bank Notes and was curious about them.

Any collector value , not sure what to do with them. I have more I can post.

Thanks for looking and any info.

If you can not read the script of an object there is also an image search on Numista or use the google image search with your smartphone's camera that works also quite often.

You were given a hasty and incorrect answer. Here is your banknote:

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!

You posted relatively low resolution image and people gave you two similar items. Since you have Russian eagle on one side, it is either Russian Empire or its successor provisional government or White Russians early in civil war. Resolution is too low to see, if you have secondary coat of arms on eagle. Since it refers to Northern Russia it is probably from White Russians.

Numista has at least three pages for notes issued by white russians in the North (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supreme_Administration_of_the_Northern_Region) and looks like they were the only ones that followed imperial 50 paper kopeck design with some minor differences.

Thanks I will try to post a better pic later.
