Pattern coins?

Two copper coins (possibly the denomination: ‘Paisa’) of the Princely State of Baroda, 128(?) AH visible (1860s) along with the popular sword symbol used in contemporary Rupee coins, the reign of Maharaja Malhar Rao Gaekwad. Left coin weight: 11.29 grams; Right coin weight: 11.71 grams. Edge is very unusual. Unlisted in major numismatic catalogues. Thanking you all for going through these specimens :)

Ive had a breif search and could only find 2 coins from Baroda with the same distinct edge as yours, although they do not share the same design. It prooves that the edge could well have been a design feature, perhaps used by a specific mint? The coins do seem to be genuine to me, but I'm afraid I'm not 100% on identification.

Could be worth having a look thro zeno's catalogue yourself as I have only looked breifly. In my opinion its the best site at the moment for asian coins.

You have done a very good research, it's really very helpful for me. I'll also wait for the exact matches, if you find anything more interesting, don't forget to let me know :)
