Hello,
I would like to ask a question regarding Canadian numismatic sets in the Numista catalog.
In the past, these sets were either removed from the coin catalog or rejected when submitted, unless it was clearly demonstrated that the coins originated from a dismantled set and were intended for individual coin collecting, rather than for collecting complete sets.
There was also, if I recall correctly, a specific place or defined method to indicate the origin of such coins, in order to avoid confusion between coins coming from sets and those intended for standard numismatic collecting.
I should note that until a few months ago, I was the reference editor for Canadian coins on Numista, but I stepped down from this role and remained inactive for some time.
Since my return, I have noticed the addition of several sets on the French side, creating new catalog entries, without any clear explanation or rule associated with these additions.
Could you please let me know whether the policy regarding numismatic sets has changed, and if so, what the current official guideline is in order to ensure consistent catalog management?
Thank you in advance for your clarification.
Kind regards,
StoneTemple
