half sovereign, 1893

Hello, what do you think about this half sovereign? I think it is a cast. Thank you for your feedback.

Is the diameter, thickness and weight corresponding with the measurements on the coin page?

I agree that it does look a bit suspicious, but I don’t see many reasons to make a counterfeit out of solid gold, hence why I’m asking.

All parameters are perfect. Even the 22-karat acid test (though I opened it three years ago). The image is very blurry and the color seems light to me.

Maybe someone wanted to make a piece of jewelry with a half sovereign but didn’t want to pay collection value on top of bullion?
