Request for identification help: Unknown Qiánlóng cash coin (maybe fake) [solved]

6 posts • viewed 61 times

Hey, I bought this coin from a bargain bin and have trouble identifying it.

After a look at the Numisdoc introduction to chinese cash, I think it is an Emperor Qiánlóng coin from Beijing (more likely Boo Ciowan than Boo Yuwan), probaly a modern restrike/fake.

But I have trouble finding the exact coin. So I would like to ask for your help to identify it. Thank you in advance. :)

Metal: no idea - not magnetic
Weight: 1.97 g
Size/Diameter: about 19mm (and less than 1mm high/thick)

Maybe this.  N#30298

Thank you! :) It certainly looks similar. What confuses me is the edge pattern on the mint side of my coin. Would you say my coin is a restrike/fake?

I've never seen a Chinese cash coin with that type of pattern. But then again I haven't seen every Chinese cash coin. I'll leave that to the experts to answer. But, there are very few cash coins with a 19 mm diameter.
