Unknown Byzantine coin - copper or bronze

This 2.97g + 20mm copper/bronze coin looks like being struck in the Byzantine Empire.

Please help with the identification.

I'm no expert in Byzantine coins, but this looks very similar to coins struck during the reign of Alexius I at Trebizond. 

Here is an example of the type I'm thinking.
