Newly acquired medal, catalogue entry

Hi,

I have recently acquired this.

I cannot find it in the catalogue. I am new to the site and not used to the formatting of catalogue entries so it is probably there but I cannot find it.

please can someone give me a link? Also, I would be very interested and grateful if you could give me a grade, rarity and estimated value.

Thanks

That's the closest item I could find so it is probably not listed yet. With the endless amount of exonumia and the little interest in them it is more common that something isn't listed then the other way around.

Legend is important:

E. DE NIEUWERKERKE DIREXIT

F.CAQUÉ

Caqué, Armand-Auguste (Saintes, 24/01/1795 - Paris, 31/12/1881), Médailleur
Nieuwerkerke, Alfred Emilen O'hara (comte de) (Paris, 16/04/1811 - Gattaiola, 16/01/1892), Sculpteur

A similar medal :

Poinsignon numismatic tells that the 15th august 1853 was the first imperial celebration.

Thank you frenchlover. Do I need to create a new catalogue entry? Do you have any idea regarding rarity and value?

Sure you should create a new entry !

One or two of these medals are currently for sale on the internet, so they are rather rare.
