Exchanging convertible currencies in the US

6 posts • viewed 113 times

For those American coin collectors, is there any way you can exchange foreign coins (e.g. Canadian coins, Euro coins, British coins) within the US without having to go the country of origin of these coins?

Currently I have a bunch of leftover Mexican peso coins, British Pounds and Pence, and Canadian coins (mostly pennies and nickels) I would really like to get rid of.

I hear every coin you jingle!

Not sure if it is just a UK company

which as seen I have used and they took all sorts of

convertible currency from me -

but leftovercurrency may be worldwide -

or have a USA equivalent.

Maybe other members know of companies over there -

I just now saw this, based in downtown Los Angeles

Leftover currency is either British or somewhere like Netherlands or Spain and their rates are beyond terrible. I last looked in 2022 and they were offering like 31p for $1 NZ (In 2022 our dollar was 50p0 and about 3p per $1 for obselete coins. They were offering a few p for old marks, guilders and francs and I remember even a US dollar was worth like 61p.

I would avoid them, and sell your change on ebay.

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

You can try sending selling it on eBay. You can also ask here on forums, if I was going to Mexico/Canada, I would offer you maybe -15-20% under face value.

I personally trade currencies for Mexican pesos and some European currencies, you just need to find the right person
