President Trump's Face on Landmark

In case you missed because of all the other distractions: Construction has started on adding Trump's face to Mt. Rushmore joining 4 other prominent US Presidents,  George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Construction is planned to be finished before the end of the year.

I think I also heard something about replacing the lincoln monument with the trump monument! Presidents these days…

The Statue of Liberty is to be replaced by a statue of our omnipotent leader with his hand raised and only the middle finger extended upwards.

They even released some potential mock-ups of what the finished project could look like.

Wait what??? That would genuinly be insane if passed, an alteration that big of a major landmark can’t be very popular among the americans no? (Unless you count the MAGA cult of course)

 However … today is April Fool's Day. 

I rather suspect they were referring to my genuinely really real bill introduced in Jan last year. Evidently it's not being particularly well received since no updates since then.

Nonetheless, it's a terrifying thought that a politician would even introduce the idea.

President Trump first inquired what would be the steps needed to put his face on Mt. Rushmore during his first term.  Apparently he has not given up on the idea.

To be honest, I thought he'd be happy. He already has a statue in Washington itself.

Him & his bestest buddy ever. 

And there was a slight remodelling to an existing statue.

However, as the Lincoln Memorial remains unchanged in name, he thought it best if he got his own comparable statue sitting next to ol' Abe. Then maybe they'll share the name instead. 😉
