I am led to believe that it may be a privately issued medal and it would appear that there is a misspelling of Independence as “Independance”   - Thank you

A search got the correct letters, in the wrong order -

and also it is four not two horses.

"WE TRIUMPHANT BRAVELY DEFEND" > "TRIUMPHANT WE BRAVELY DEFEND"

The spelling Independance may mean it is from a French-speaking country

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?r=Independance&st=150-149&cat=y&im1=&im2=&ru=&ie=&no=&v=&cu=&a=&dg=&i=&b=&m=&f=&t=&t2=&w=&mt=&u=&g=&c=&wi=&sw=

but also as the other side is in English then yes, may be a mis-spelling.

 What is the diameter?

It is in the catalogue by Batty and is number 4304R

"Independance,
4304R

Obverse - "Independance"

Reverse - A radiated Quadriga with Charioteers in the Clouds,

" Triumphant / We Bravely Defend"

K — Milled"

any idea of the value and when it might have been produced.   Not something I wish to keep - it was found with a lot of old UK coins in an auction lot

Date unknown, price unknown. Maybe other members know,

or have that catalogue. As it is not something you wish to keep -

send me a message, as I like old tokens!
