I've tried to research what this could be but no luck. I can find similar but not the same. I think it might be a temple token? Any ideas much appreciated, thank you.

 On the second picture - the lettering, right then left -

reads "ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ" (of King Ptolemy).
