Seleucis am Pieria - Syria - Loadicea (greek imperial under roman occupation)

1 post • viewed 11 times

The semi-autonomous cities under recent Roman conquer can be confusing as to where to place a new coin type.

In the first century BC, Pompey and others extinguished the Seleucid Empire and now controlled Syria, but it wasn't given full province status and allowed to enjoy semi-autonomy.  The Bethlehem star and Zeus/Zeus Nikephoros bronzes are two such examples of neither Seleucid nor full Roman Provincial.

Here is another type for which i recently picked up:  https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=1537622

I am seeking consensus on where exactly to list this type (i cannot find an existing page after exhaustive searching).'

Thank you in advance.
