I think I found your coin in Krause.  it's listed under the "Riau Archipelago" section (called "West Irian" on Numista).  I don't see the rest of the Riau coins here yet, but I can add them if I've got the right ID.

"A group of 3,214 islands off the tip of the Malay peninsula.  Coins were issued near the end of 1963 (although dated 1962) and recalled as worthless on September 30, 1964.  There were legal tender from Oct 15 1963 to July 1 1964."

Here's the details of the 1 sen coin from Krause:
KM#5
aluminum
obverse depicts Sukarno facing left
reverse depicts denomination within wreath of cotton and rice stalks
value ranges from 0.35 in F to 2.00 in UNC.
edge inscription reads "Kepulauan Riau"

Here's the Numista listing for the 50 sen equivalent of your coin:

EDIT: Is this your coin?

The name 'West Irian' was used as a name for what was the Netherlands New Guinea. It later became Irian Jaya,& is now West Papua.

The Riau-Lingga Archipelago is a group of islands located in the Strait of Malacca closer to Singapore & Malaya than they are to Sumatra. These islands were once a native monarchy,& supplied the ancestors of the Royal Family of Johore.
