Does anyone have a good source of info for identifying Indian gold fannams, those tiny little gold coins that I understand are often counterfeited?

You can go to "Numismaster." They are the Krause Mishler catalogue (KM) and if you search the year and value in India under "Find My Coin," it will have some information about Fannams.
