After browsing different posts here on Numista, I have learned that quite a few people collect more than just coins.  The program I am writing not only will allow you to catalog your coins, but it will create an Excel list that you can use to upload to your coin list here.  Also there will be a paper money and stamp catalog and inventory areas. Eventually I will add further categories to those interested.  I should have a working copy of the software within a month.

It will be free to any Numista members!!!
Would be interested if it works on a Mac…!!!

I am definitely interested!
It's still in the development phase.  I am hashing out a lot of code and it should work on a Mac once it's all said and done.

Interested to see what you are working on.
No longer in business since 2015. May consider swaps on rare occasions. Mostly use the profile to catalogue my personal collection.

I second this
What would yall like to see in this program?  I want to make it as easy to use but have all the features that you want.

I would be very interested if it works in either linux or mac OSX 10.5.8 (ppc)  also looking for an android app like "Collector's Eye" that doesn't suggest New Zealand as a country of origin when the coin is Yugoslavian.

I would really prefer to wait and play with it to suggest.

BUT, one thing that would be UNIQUE, would be to have the title fields editable. I do realize that the key field can not be, but having the rest would be nice since there are many different languages and grading systems.

I definitely interested! And hopefully it'll work on both Mac and PC!
(My computer crashed, so now I'm using my go's MacBook, but when I can afford I'll by me a new computer - a PC   (;0
the program is being written in c# and is being made for multiple platforms...  android and iOs apps will be further down the line but will be written.
;)   I would be very interested in purchasing this software, but it would have to be able to export all the data of Numista, into it, ie the entire database, indicate the degree of rarity in Numista field to put values Krauser, observations, and a few more at least 3 fields editable. If you want to launch a version in Portuguese language'm the disposal, at least to the instruction manual.

I am interested to see what you'll get. I have also a software created by me and now I'm working on an improved version. Maybe we can share some ideas.

Here are two screenshots (with and without descriptions) of the main interface.

:8D   Sounds great for a sketch, is perfect. He will be able to import excel files to certain fields within it? If you want some help for translation in Portuguese or images of coins from Brazil, and I am available variants. I just can not help in programming because it did not understand anything!!

Very interested.  Especially if it can tell me how many coins and types I have for each country as an additional feature.

Would we be able to connect it to a price guide?

This is available in statistics & reports and also in a visible mode it is done with interactive map.

Maybe not as a standard program but the plugin interface of the application make this task possible.
AESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to see the first prototype.

Would we be able to upload an Excel into the program? 0:)

I just came across this thread and I would be interested to see the software. :D
The main part of the application is already finished but unfortunately I'm very busy at my work and I can work on the software just few hours every day. I'll post tonight a link with a video demonstration to see how it works until now.
Looking forward to it, thank you for sharing

Here is a quick video demonstration with some features already implemented.

PS: sorry for my bad english, it's not my primary language, seems I typed wrong so many words
I am sure the video is nice but cannot be viewed it says its private
Oups, my bad. Please try now.  z)
I watched the video. The program looks very interesting. If you need a beta tester, I have a dual boot Intel core i5 <quad core> with 12 GiGs DDR3 ram [Linux- Ubuntu & Windows 7] plus I have this old but reliable eMac - ppc.
Maybe I will need but right now it's still in development phase.
Hey that ´s my photos you are using in your video B.

Don´t worry I don´t mind it  :O
If you like coins, medals and tokens with ship motives follow my new instagram account with regular updates @numisnautiker
From time to time I sell some coins on Ebay make sure to follow me @apuking on Ebay.
Yes it's your photo. It was the only one that I find it with a picture of the edge. Hope you don't mind... or you can kill me.  X-D
That ok, but when you sell your software to PCGS I will demand a share of the profit of 12% :wiz:

Why 12%, 50 sounds better??
I have watched the video but since I don't have IT knowledge can't give any feedback
It's looking good. Looking forward to using it. Let me know if you need any help testing.
I will need help for sure in testing but maybe I will need more help to create language packages because it's a multilingual application.

I love it! One suggestion: change Epoch to Era.
I was thinking that everyone has preferences so I made all those fields customizable. So you can put what name you like for the field Epoch.
Good luck!
You can get some inspirative ideas from these folks, as well: http://www.exactchange.info/
Their software has a disco-age look, but very functional and professional
Thanks imreh. Indeed it's a very good software but most of all I like the menu of the application.  :8D
:)   Give my part really appreciate your commitment and dedication, as before, and if you need anything just ask. If you want to add the language in Portuguese, I am available, images of coins, etc..
;)   Hugs and thank you for your dedication to all!

Thanks Olivetti, I will need some help soon with Portuguese language pack. I will let you know when that moment come. About the images, this software not intend to have a huge database with images of the coins but everyone that use it to be able to use the images of their own coins.
Is anyone that knows HTML, CSS and jQuery interested to join into this project?  8)
Quote: Andy289Is anyone that knows HTML, CSS and jQuery interested to join into this project?  8)
Yes. What's there to do?
I'm looking for someone to help me to improve a web gallery (that I created, but it doesn't look very good) or to develop another one that looks better than mine. I started to use jQuery just few days ago an seems to pretty easy so I think for someone who already know jQuery for a long time ago shouldn't be a hard task. I know that are many template galleries already created all around the internet but I'm not very good with all those from many reasons.
I haven't heard anything about this project for quite a while, is it extinct? I was looking forward to trying it out...
Yeah, please give us some updates! :D

Website Constructor - does that mean you can upload directly to create your own website with your own domain name?

Aidan.

don't necropost

@rdnck645 , is there any news regarding this project?

Aidan.

I think we can assume that 13 years after someone last posted about this it is extinct.

I would love to beta test this for you. I collect coins and cards of all types, paper money, some comics, stamps. Too much I know. I am new here but I am loving it so far.
