Grading (again!)

2 posts
Sorry to be a pain, I did search for posts about grading, and found one refering me to a web site which I didn't feel was terribly helpful.

Can I ask, please, what do you more professional collectors think of the grading illustrated at:

http://www.pykerley.worldonline.co.uk/coins/grading/index.html

Is this a fair guide for me? Or am I completely off track?

Matt
honestly - that's what I want to know, too. Since you have to take into account that especially older coins -
even first half of 20th century - are difficult to grade (for me). since they might never been very detailed
(you have to have something to compare at least) or the metal composition was ever too soft.
See for example UK shillings and especially 1 pound nickel-brass issues.
