The phrase "JOANNES VI D G PORT BRASIL ET ALG REX" means Joao VI, By grace of God king of Portugal, Brazil, and Algarves. So not necessarily a Brazilian coin, although it may have circulated there.

Yeah, for some reason it says Brazil, but it's cataloged under Portugal. Pretty light wear for 200 years! Thanks all for your help.

It is 6 Vintens (120) Reis/Portugal.
The legend says:
YOANNES VI, KING OF PORTUGAL, BRASIL & ALGARVE IN THE GRACE OF GOD.
Due to Nopalean invasion he has gone to Brasil but the coin was made in Lisboa to circulate only in Portugal.
Brasil became a kingdom at that time.
The Brasilian coins from the same period are different.
