China Cash

3 posts
Hi,
I found this coin in a lot.
Fortunately it was in a 2X2 with an inscription Wang-Mang 7-22 and I found a similar looking item: https://fr.numista.com/catalogue/pieces7318.html
But this one is much heavier: 6.5 grams and its diameter is 24mm.

So I have a couple of questions.
Is it the same coin or something else.
Common or rare?
And most important, as even very common old cash is being copied in China, does it look real or fake?
Thanks

Pretty common coin actually, but with a lot of varieites. Yours looks like heavy thype FD#488, DH#9.36. I'm sure this is probably the cheapest coin being the oldest you can find in the world, next to the Wu Zhu coins.
