Hi,

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces9345.html

should have this documentation incorporated to show the two types of 5's, I think?

It's based on COBRA's .pdf presentation from this file:

Absolutely agree. When varieties are so obvious, they deserve a place in  the catalog.
I know it doesn't matter much for collectors who only collect coins by type, but for collectors who collect coins by year/mint/variety like I do, this is a very interesting surplus.
That's exactly the reason, why both COBRA and I document those things, but it would be so much nicer, if all of these documentations could be integrated into the numista catalog as well!

Is the different 5 for each variety of the coin or just one mint. Because the coin does list for the melbourne mint "5" date type 1 and 2 already this may be it and just not explained well.
Hi Elvis123,

a good question, and here is the answer. The two different "5" are both from the Melbourne mint... here is another documentation also showing the Perth coin:

I have also integrated the coin from Perth.

I changed the wording so that the differences are more easily identified. Let me know if anything else needs to be changed for this page.
let the order be first ALL the Melboune coind and then the Perth, now it's looking like a salad somehow. Can't you insert the image in the description? I have seen other descriptions, where it has been done :wiz:

Since you own/made the image. I will ask for you to add it. Just click on modify the coin and add it to the edge image.
Done! I didn't know it was that easy.....

It's the same case for the Canada 1 cent 1965 with small or large beads and blunted or pointed 5. Without pictures it's very difficult to know where you have to look at.
This is a site where you can see the differences: http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices.php?coin=1-cent-1965&years=1-cent-1965-2012

It would be very handy if this link was also here: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces432.html
I put a reference to the link at the "add a personal comment" section but I don't know if that's visible for everyone or only for me. And it would be better if the link itself could be there instead the reference to it so we just have to click instead of start copying and pasting.
Canada 1 cent 1955/1954/1953 with or without a fold on the shoulder (SF or NSF):

Who shall look at the "DEI" to see the difference between those two without those pictures: http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices.php?coin=1-cent-1953&years=1-cent-1953-1964
