I haven't checked them all, but the first one I went to showed the wrong date but the demonetization field was locked. Can someone from the team please record that these coins were demonetized on 1st May 1990.

This is from the reserve bank of New Zealand and are correct, the catalogues are that, not government data. So they are wrong.

I think I have the answer to this one - they are both right. If you look closely at the RBNZ data it is actually the total face value of the coins minted in NZD. For example, for 1996, if you divide $950k by 5 Cents you get 19 million, which is the mintage of the 5 Cents for 1996.
