Need identification for gold coin

8 posts

The flower is different from https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces36944.html and the year.
Also the diameter is 14mm, not 15mm

Any help is welcome!
Thanks in advance!
i think your coin is km# 608,  1/4 zeri mahbub type 2

I don't think so, his coin has two borders, also the flower, toughra and legend are the wrong size.
In Krause there's no coin that seems to match. There are only 3 gold coins with the matching date AH 1323 regnal year 7. The 1/4 zeri mahbub as suggested hasn't two borders like Neilithic says. The zeri mahbub has a total different design. So the only possible coin of those 3 is the 1/2 zeri mahbub (Y# 209b), but there is no picture in Krause. AND, from this coin regnal year 7 is reported, but not confirmed.
perhaps a restrike with the wrong die or wrong flan?

I'd say it's fake. The lettering looks quite bad. If you remove the holder you can weight it and I guess it won't fit to the parameters of a gold coin.
I'm not orange and also in other things I'm not a Donald at all. DonChori like Don Felipe or Doña María, por favor.
I was afraid to suggest the same.
And while it is out the holder, let it test by a jewler if it is gold
