Please share your Mughal coins here in this thread :). The only rule here is that you must own the coin and please no INO (In Name Only) coins. I'll start off with the following coin:

Mughal Empire: Muhammad Jahangir (1605-1628) AR Rupee, Qandahar Mint (KM#142.2)

Obv: Multi-line Persian legend - سکا قندهار شود دلخواه (The coin of Qandahar became attractive)
Rev: Multi-line Persian legend - از جهانگیر شاه اکبر شاه (through Jahangir Shah, son of Akbar Shah)

I don't have any mughal coins so I made a forgery at home.
100% legit

I really like ancient Indian coins but unfortunately they are not available here because nobody here collects them :(

That is an awesome coin, but I believe you need to rotate your coin 90 degrees clockwise as the legend is vertical :P. Where are you located...
Helsinki, Finland and that's a rare error coin that's why it's not rotated correctly.
Shah Jahan mounted a campaign on Balkh in 1646-1647 due to the request of the deposed Khan of Bukhara, who controlled Balkh at the time. He seized Balkh with its booty in July of 1647. However, his troops experienced difficulties in occupying Balkh since it was too far away from their empire in a place that was much colder than what the troops were accustomed to (seems like Napolean and Russia centuries later). With the constant threat of Uzbek partisans, the Mughal army reached a truce and withdrew by October 1647.

See Shailendra Bhandare's Numismatic Reflections on Shahjahan’s Balkh Campaign - 1646-47 for more information. This particular coin is not illustrated in Krause, but it is double-posted in two separate sections. Once for Central Asia as KM#15 and another for Mughal Empire as KM#220.1...

Mughal Empire: Shah Jahan (1628-1658) AR Shahrukhi, Balkh Mint (KM#220.1)

Obv: Kalima in Persian, لا اله الا الله محمد رسول الله (There is no God but Allah; Muhammad is the messenger of Allah), in multiple lines within a dotted rectangular border
Rev: Persian legend, شاه جهان پادشاه قاضی (Shahjahan Badshah Ghazi), arranged in two lines within a dotted rectangular border

Obv: Reading bottom up in Persian - نورالدین جهانگیر شاه اکبرشاه (Nur-ud-din Jahangir Shah; Akbar Shah)
Rev: Reading bottom up in Persian - زارب تاتا ١٨ ماه فروردين (Zarb Tatta, AH[10]18, Mah Farvardin)

Mughal Empire: Akbar I (1556-1605) AR Rupee, Lahore Mint (KM#93.11)

Another nice coin. I have several more Mughal coins, but I have a tendency of not posting coins that doesn't have a full attribution on them. Takes considerable time for me to transcribe the coins as I neither speak nor write in Arabic or Persian :(. I also have one of these Humayun coins and I was finally able to get the attribution for them, but I need the time to transcribe it. Too much of a perfectionist...

That's definitely a good practice! Most of the books i have don't provide a transcript of the legend. I am not sure of Goron-Goenka though, still missing that book.

Haha. That is because most collectors don't know where to look and their google skills aren't that great :). Most of the transcriptions from above are from FREE books and a bit of googling with a mighty assistance from Google Translate. You don't need to spend hundreds of dollars to get good attributions on coins. You just need to spend time with your hobby...

That is just one of the resources I use, albeit the main one though. There are some legends that are not fully there due to the quality of the coins in the catalog. So, you will need other, freely available, resources to fill in the gaps. For instance, you will not find the full legends for the Humayun coin.
