It's a coin from Malacca (a state of Malaysia on the west coast).

Perhaps it is a 1 Keping from Netherlands East Indies
I have not found it yet, but I guess you know the Arabic numbers ۱۲۴۷ are 1247 (1832).
Entering that date in the Search brought up two coins - neither is yours unfortunately - but both have a currency of Keping. One is from Sarawak and the other is from Netherlands East Indies. Neither have a KM number ... https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces21390.html https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces24414.html
At exactly the same minute I see alfa31 also sent in a reply. And also says it is a Keping
Looking at the photo I agree it is from Malacca and is KM# 8 also.
Then I see in the Country list that Malacca is not there, so not sure where you could add it?
Perhaps the Malay Peninsula section, as that already has three sub-sections
- one of which reads Keping (Kelantan, ?-1909)
So maybe a new one needs to be created Keping (Malacca, 1824-?)
A state of Malaysia on the west coast. It was settled from
Sumatra in the 1300's, occupied by the Portuguese in 1511. Captured
by the Dutch in 1641. Held by the British from 1795 to 1802
and 1811 to 1818 and finally ceded to Britain in 1824.
The attribution of the following coins to Malacca is uncertain.
All were struck in England, on behalf of merchants in Singapore.
All have an Arabic legend Tanah Melayu Land of the Malays,
above a rooster.

Thanks lads. I think we have established it is a one keping coin from Malacca (Malaya), dated 1832 by the Gregorian calendar. I don't have access to decent information about this coin, other than what I can physically see from it. Perhaps one of you should be good enough to add it to Numista, and I will upload photographs of my coin to complement the data.
Transpires Malacca was also known as Malaya at the time (Brookes Gazeteer, 1834) and the natives were in a very primitive state, so one can assume any coinage would have been a European device, hence the minting in England. There was a celebrated missionary station in the city of Malacca in the region, so one can assume some sort of European trade occuring which should have required 'money' ?
I tried to add it, but line 6 in Overall information has stopped me. In that the Currency is not there; maybe one of Admin can add it, if they agree it should be where I suggested. The screenshot below shows only
Malay peninsula - Keping (Kelantan, ?-1909) whereas I suggest
Malay peninsula - Keping (Malacca, 1824-?)

Sounds reasonable.
Does Krause list the coin at all? My Krause is only 1901 to present (I'm too poor to be able to afford the full set).
