Anyone who is a member of Colnect will probably have some familiarity with one of it's most useful features, the "TRANSLATE" button. Any page with mainly non English text can be translated right there on the page, at the click of a button! No having to make cumbersome switches to Google or Bing Translate.
It would be a major benefit to non English speakers and for anyone who would like to follow the often high quality discussions of our French counterparts. Some of our most knowledgeable members have somewhat limited English, it would be great if they could participate more easily in our often complex discussions. Given the truly international nature of our hobby this would seem to be an almost essential feature of a coin website. It's certainly a feature that I would make daily use of.
Would this be a difficult thing to implement and could it be applied to pages beyond the forum such as the swap engine and messaging system?

I have never heard of a PHPBB plugin that is capable of translating within a topic, but if it is to just understand a topic/discussion then there is the possibility of some kind of plugin that can translate the entire page via a link.
It would be a very handy addition to the site.

Fortunately for myself I mostly browse on my phone and I have a translator app which also has a plugin for safari so 2 clicks can translate what I read. Unfortunately it doesn't translate what you write though. It would make looking at the french forum a more regular occurance for us non francophone !
