Hungarian Sigismund Obol?

6 posts
I've been having these little piece for a while, and all I got is "Obol of Sigismund", which basically tells me nothing.
It says its weight is 0.21 grams and has a diameter of about 5 mm.

I don't even know which way is up, so put in two pictures with my best bets :D

It's obvisouly a shield, of some sort n the obverse, and a cross with crowns on the other. I have found something in the Hungary list which seems close enough, but I haven't been able to confirm it, since there's a lot of similar ones out there.

I've got the tip to check this site, but it's all a jungle to me and everything looks the same :P And since my coins hardly shows any details that reveals its background story at all, I'm still clueless.

Hi,

I think your two coins are here : https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces34666.html.

Just in your first coin, the picture of the obverse is in bad side. You need to turn it 90°left :)

But your coins are in too bad condition to have more details...

Thank you for your help, Sneyoz!
Is there any way I can determine which one I have, or are all the details too weak?
Mintmarks are not readable on your 2 coins. :snif:
