The obverse lettering doesn't match the picture of the coin.
What coin is the coin in the picture as the date is different?
The coin in the picture is a year 43 coin. Add 1911 and you have the 1954 5 jiao coin as described. The chinese characters in the back say 5 jiao.

年三十四國民華中 means "Year 43 of the Republic of China". Chinese Republic and Taiwan (which is the exile location of the Chinese Republic institutions) usually use the model
