What is the best place to buy them in the US. How many different sizes do they come in. I am going to change the way I store my coins. Why do I always see people use staples? I was thinking double sided tape might look better, or are they bad for the coins. Thank for any info.
I would not use tape as regular double sided tape may affect your coins. I use Lighthouse Self Adhesive flips which I buy from Amazon.

I buy mine at the fleamarket for $1.50 per 100, cheap and cheerful.
For those coins I intend to keep I use the self sealing Importa brand which I buy by the case of 100 x 10 different sizes. For collectors of UK coins living in the USA it's quite possible to find the correct size e.g. shilling / quarter except for the 1860 - 1970 pennies. They are just a tiny bit too large to fit inside a 30mm ($0.50) flip so I have to find the 32.5mm sizes from European sellers.

Thanks ken6528, that is a better price, then i found so far. I was thinking of putting all my coins in my collection in these. About 2000 coins right now. Looking to maybe build a box of wood to then put the coins in. Unless someone has an easier way of buying a box where these 2x2 holders work good in.
Update; ordered some from this site yesterday. They are right here in Colorado, so should receive them some time next week
Got my order in. Is it normal for both sides not to match up? One put one coin in so far. But had a hard time because the holes really don't match up well.

Here in Japan there are 6 different sizes for each of the current Japanese circulating coins.
I found them a bit better than the ones I bought from Amazon, the main reason is that the ones I bought from amazon had a lot of dusty material from the cutting machine and I had to clean each one of them every time I was storing a coin.
The pack of 100's are around 5 bucks each which is not as cheap as Phil experience in the flea market...

I use self adhesive flips which are black and white. Black flips I use for EF+ low value coins and white for the rest. I get 100 of either colour for £7.25 including free postage.
Black looks really good I must say.

There are usually at least 2-3 collector supply stands at the local coin shows that I attend, so that's where I usually buy my flips. Saves me a few bucks on s&h, too.
Generic 2x2s are available in all US coin denominations, in packs of 100. You can also find smaller 1.5x1.5 for lower denominations, 2x2s with cutouts for 3 US pennies, and 2.5x2.5 for crowns and other larger coins.
Lighthouse 2x2s are also available, plus they come with cutouts of several other sizes. Their flips are thinner and have a thumb grip, so they are easier to use with plastic pages, but cost about 3 times more.
ps: I would recommend buying a flat clench stapler, if you don't already have one.

That was one of the best purchases that I ever made I bought a MAX brand flat clinch stapler and it has worked excellent with no problems jamming or anything else for that matter.
So I finally finished putting all my current coins in 2x2 holders. Took me 10 months but finally done. Now I have about 4 pounds of coin from a bulk lot to go through and add them to my double list. Fun times. One day I will be all caught up.

Don't forget to inquire about shipping costs and quality when shopping for 2x2 flips, or anything else for that matter.
I looked into purchasing 900 flips (Cowens brand) from Wizard at $1.95 per 100. That is a great price but the cheapest postage cost was $11.98.
The Collections site was cheaper with a flat shipping fee of $6.99 and $1.99 per 100 flips. When I inquired as to the manufacturer was they said they were not allowed to say. They did say that their flips are thinner than the Cowens brand.
I settled on Coin Supply Express. They sell Guardhouse brand and had the best deal at $1.96 per 100 and only $4.00 for shipping.
