Any idea what this coin is?

I picked this up at a coin shop for $1 just out of curiosity, around two years ago and it's driven me crazy ever since. Please let me know if you guys/girls have any clue what this could be! Thanks - Nate.

Please supply the following:
1) Closeup pictures
2) Weight
3) Diameter

Diameter in particular I find really helpful when searching in Numista. If you measure something like 36.4 mm with your calipers, do an advanced search for coins with diameter 35-37, to allow for wear or minting irregularities. If you know the metal is copper, add that is well. That should narrow down the list significantly, and if you're lucky you'll be able to recognize your coin. (Of course, there's always a chance the coin is not in the Numista catalog, especially for older coins.)

I don't have a measuring tool for the weight but I measured 26mm diameter

Images most like your first one. No idea about second image. Any lettering visible?

No, the second picture really isn't even necessary because all of the detail has come off, The color of the metal looks like brass or gold. thanks!
