Final update for 2016. You have just over 3 weeks to get your entries in for the first two sections (Asia and Pacific/Australasia.

The entries I have so far are:

A - Pacific and Australasia - 13 entries
B - Asia - 16 entries
C - North America - 14 entries
D - South America - 16 entries
E - Africa - 15 entries
F - Middle East - 11 entries
G - Europe - 18 entries
H - Ancients and Exonumia - 21 entries (11 exonumia and 10 ancients)

I'd like more entries, especially for Middle east, Pacific/Australasia and North America which have less than the magic number of 16. Keep those entries rolling in people.
If you'd allow people with less than 30 posts to participate, I'm sure you'd get a lot more entries. Some people only speak, or post, when absolutely necessary.

There is no rule against people with less than 30 posts participating. It's open to anyone. Where did you get that rule from?
Great! Thank you. I must've misread.

That was one of the rules from last year's competition, which is pinned to the top of the MPCC forum. See https://en.numista.com/forum/topic41741.html

That thread should really be "unstickied" so it doesn't cause any additional confusion, or replaced with the current competition's thread.
Hopefully no one sent their photos to dptashny thinking they were entering them in this year's competition! B.
Well with the amount of posts I've been putting up asking for entries I would hope that nobody has sent them to Dptashny.
Reply for Oggy- they need moderator help.

Yes, I reported my own post.

Fixed mes thinks.
Thanks oggy.

Get your pics in everyone. You don't want to be the guy who complains that they have nicer looking coins than the one that ended up winning.
I still need to do it! Have to work out if my only middle eastern coin is an "ancient" or not

No chance with my Europe entry :°

Hopeakettu just said the exact same thing to me on steam! 'Dont bother entering, mine is the best' - Should just rename my ryal as 'poverty/loser coinage' :O I think I'll just enter a half crown or crown as I love them so much! I'd love to enter a double crown, but unfortunately do not own one!

It's all mindgames flukey, you're trying to scare us off (;0

Quick rule clarification: Are pre-1555 coins only allowed in the 'ancients' section, or can they be entered in their respective regions too?
Where shall I send the pictures ?

I'm the only one that has seen all the entries, and I can say that Hopeakettu's coin will not win....mine will ;)

I'm just kidding of course.

Yes you can enter pre-1555 coins in their respective categories as well as in ancients if you want to. I have received a couple of coins that qualify as ancients in the regular categories already, some people only collect ancients to they don't really have any choice.

I am sure I have no idea what you mean :° :O

Never thought I would see a fellow numista member on Steam, what do you play? I have steam and Origin (EA) accounts, Seeing as I enjoy history throughout the first and second world wars, I thought I would try out Battlefield 1 released last month which is based around the conflicts within WW1. it has incredible realism and a worthy storyline. The only steam game I actively use is WarThunder, only because of the ability to fly simulator style WW2 aircraft and tanks with excellent realism, but not anywhere near BF1.
