Quote: "Peter M. Graham"I just did a little cleanup. 61 rolls (3,050) of thoroughly examined Canadian Cents which my local branch exchanged readily.
It's been 4+ years since it was no longer produced.
Any idea on when they will say no more?
PS. My bowling coach's father has several jars of Cents he has been hoarding for over 30 years. Can't seem to pry them from him.
This page should answer your question....in one word "Indefinitely"
I read that globalist piece of programming the human slave crap.
If you get rid of your coins, mine become more valuable.
Canada is a globalist agenda 21 slave enforcement branch.
Turn your government around and demand the coins you want.
One dollar Canadian paper bills. Extinct. I have one. Copper pennies, I have several.Pure nickel .999 bullion 5 cent coins, I have at least 75 pounds, now nickel plated steel.
On the American side, the new dollar coins are crap.
Eisenhower dollar coins, worth their weight, much bigger than modern dollar coins.
Kennedy half dollars, same deal.
The metals used in dimes, quarters, half dollars and Eisenhower dollars are the same metals and ratios.
Four quarters = two half dollars = one dollar = ten dimes in weight and metals.
If they try to get rid of the penny again here, they will most likely get arrested for being a foreign agent.
Agenda 21 and Agenda 30 passed by the u.n. is very bad for humans and should be thrown out.
To reduce the population down to 500 million or less is evil !!!
It all starts with getting rid of pennies stating it is bad for the enviroment.

That's interesting. I don't think any Canadian coin has ever been demonetized. I remember reading something about that (though quite a few years ago) by one of the great Canadian numismatists, Robert C Willey. If I'm not mistaken, however, the $1000 bill (known as the "pinky") has been demonetized. I only ever used one such bill once in my lifetime.
In France, it is still legal to use stamps of the pre-Euro era, in Francs. I received an envelope some 4 or 5 years ago covered with such stamps. There is now a fixed rate of exchange between the Franc and the Euro.
EDIT: Oh! I see that Bohannon has unregistered. Given the (to put it mildly) questionable comments he made in this thread, I say: "Enjoy the rest of your life!"
