Patina or dirt, should I clean? Is it worth it?

Is this green stuff the patina? If so could this coin get any clearer with details if I used electrolysis. I don't want to ruin a good coin but if you guys agree this coin doesn't have much of a future I'd be happy to use electrolysis to clean it up. I only bought it for less than $2 so it won't hurt my feelings haha. I used electrolysis on this coin and here are the results:
So what do you guys think I should do with the above coin?

Shine on a Roman coin just looks wrong to me.
Others seem to like it.
