I couldn't help notice the article provided no evidence for their assertion. The 1943 copper cents are "transitional" errors caused by old copper stock planchets left behind in the press. Thus, there are only a few of these errors in existence, and I'm very doubtful that any more are left to be discovered.
Since the first one was discovered in the early 80s there have been 12 or so found, most were found in circulated change. And only one from San Francisco, that one sold for over $1,000,000!
