Does anyone know anything more about these tokens (spiel marke)
Are they popular?
Do they have any value?
When could they be done?
Where do they come from / from what country? Are they from germany (the first one)?

This probably come from gerany.

I did a bit of research when I encountered a couple. Most are indeed German. I'm not any expert, but the history of these tokens seems to start with reckoning (counter) tokens used to assist in calculating in Roman numerals.

Through the spiel marke and to more modern play money tokens. I would think they would make a neat collection. There must be a pretty limited collector base as they are usually cheap enough when you find them.
