tax tokens

I have a question about tax tokens. I've seen a couple of them. The one I have now says "1935 New Mexico Bureau of Revenue" on the other side it says "emergency school tax on purchase of five cents. Tax token 1 mill"

What is this? I couldn't find it when I did the search here in Numista. Any ideas?
I have an Oklahoma Tax token and did a little research to see what it was all about.  It seems the tax collectors realized there were tiny fractions of tax they were not collecting due to rounding, so they came up with these fractional tokens so they could collect.  I believe the tokens were originally issued for certain specific taxes, a school tax in your case, help for the elderly in Oklahoma.  There is some information on Wikipedia, and a google search will generate a few other sites.  The link below is to the American Tax Token Society website.  Lots of info there.

Thanks I'll take a look at the link. Do people collect these? I'd prefer to send it to someone who collects them rather than just hang on to it. Any ideas?
