Ever take a Mint tour?

I don't know if all countries give tours but the U.S. Mint does.
I'll be in Denver next month and might try to get a ticket.

So, has anyone ever taken a tour? Where, when and what did you think?
I will take a tour (if possible) to the Royal Canadian Mint when I 'll be in Canada soon.

I did it many years ago in Ottawa (not yet Winnipeg). They still had one of the original 1908 machines, and it was still in use (for gold coins, if I recall correctly).

In Ottawa, the Museum of the Bank of Canada, on Sparks Street, is a must.

I'll be very soon in Canada, but I want to know if the coins are really there what I want : namely Canadian coins (old and bank tokens and coins dated before 1920) . Camerinvs, can I get them or, are they available?

When you say "get" do you mean that you want to buy coins there? You'll be disappointed. All you'll find at the mint are recent commemoratives, and the Bank of Canada's Museum is ... a museum. I don't know the dealers with a storefront in Ottawa (nor in Winnipeg), but maybe some other Numista members can help you ...

I can also cope my collection to buy the commemoratives, OK, but all I have to do is also buy coins from legit dealers, there are questions about fakes, etc. etc. + there are many more coins tht I can buy from anyone.
But I am not sure where I am migrating, maybe Newfounland, British Columbia, Yukon or maybe who knows? Winnipeg. I also heard that Polish coins of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth are also cheap in some places.

Yes they are!

I've just added several 3 Polker coins from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth from the 1620's. Grades range from VG to F+. The prices range from $3 - $8 which is ridiculously low for a coins that are almost 400 years old.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.

You've never been to Ottawa for a trip?

For those interested, this is the Bank of Canada Museum's website.

And for token collectors, there's this page.

British Columbia

and New Brunswick?

I think I am getting into any of them. Please.
I have been on several floor tours of the mint. Amazing. Some neat tales...
