Mail havoc due to hurricanes

I'm do understand from friends living in the USA that all those hurricanes (Texas and Florida) are causing some kind of havoc in the mail distribution points. Common letters simply do not arrive (both ways).

I'm curious to know if our Numista friends living in those two states do already start to get their mail.

Many areas in Florida were affected by flooding and lost power and might not see your post until much later.

I bought something on E-Bay from a Florida seller and shipping was delayed by almost a week. Once they got power restored and shipped it, it was delivered without any problems.

Most of the mail in Houston were working back to normal after the hurricane, and the holiday... I did not missed any delivery.

Not only coins but every single item purchased online or mail from the bank, etc etc.

Thank you for your replay, I'm pretty sure that in time everything will be back to normal.

Mail service was restored to Pinellas by the following Friday, with power following the next day. We won't have phone service until October 2nd.
